Buyer’s guide & FAQ:
Here are some things to keep in mind when purchasing a home planetarium. This guide is a huge buyer’s guide. You can also contact me with any questions.
Delivery scope
You should first look at the delivery scope when purchasing a home planetarium. It is important to assess the accessories included and whether you need them.
Functionality
Consider the number of functions that the home planetarium offers. However, more is not always better. Everything had to work as it should. It is important to pay attention to the way the starry sky looks, how accurate the projection is and how many celestial bodies you are displaying. The most important aspect of a room planetarium is a good projection.
Many home planetariums can make it loud, particularly during automatic rotation. This is not a good option if you are looking to relax with star projections. This is something you should keep in mind when shopping.
Quality
You should also consider the external factors that affect each device. Quality is one of these. This evaluation criterion allows me to see, for instance, how frequently the projector makes errors based on customer reviews, and what physical effects it can withstand. I also consider the quality of the materials and workmanship.
Price Performance
You should place a price on performance if you value your money. Sometimes, you can get 10% more power for a lower price.
Sega Toys Homestar Original and Homestar Flux compared:
Here’s a quick reminder that the Homestar Flux landed at 1st place in the Homestar Original/Star Theatre by Sega Toys. This video compares the old model. The video discusses the advantages and disadvantages of both planetariums and concludes them all. You can see it to form your opinion.
What is a home planetarium suitable for?
A home planetarium is a great way to view the starry skies, regardless of weather conditions. You can also follow the cyclic movements of the constellations without needing to look up every night. Most models also can display the constellation of stars starting at a specific date. Check out my reviews for more information.
How to properly use a home planetarium?
There are not many things to think about when using a home planetarium. For almost all models, the golden rule is that there must be total darkness. This condition must be met or you will lose a lot of atmospheres and not recognize half the stars. A home planetarium must be placed in an even manner so that the projection projects the best image.
Where can I purchase a home planetarium?
I strongly recommend purchasing a home planetarium online (Amazon, to be specific). Most models are not available in the shop. Even if they are available, you won’t be able to see the reviews of other buyers or Reviews as easily on the internet. This website also has a detailed review of some planetariums.
What is the cost of a home planetarium?
The price depends on the quality of the product and what you intend to use it for. You should budget at least $100 to get a high-quality product. However, if you are only using it to experiment with children, you can find similar models for around 40$. Star projectors are available for as low as $20 for babies.

What is the difference between a home planetarium and a Star Projector?
My website visitors often mistake the starry sky projector for planetariums. Here are the main differences so you don’t make this mistake.
The price
Home planetarium prices can be found in many online shops and test reports. On the other hand, a starry sky projector usually costs between 20$ and 30$. This is why you should not buy a starry light projector for room in place of the home planetarium. The second difference is even more important.
The use and functions
The two types of equipment have completely different functions and use. Star projectors can be used to entertain and shoot stars at the ceiling. The home planetarium, however, is intended to help you see the starry skies. You can display, for instance, the date of the sky.
My site has everything you need to find a starry-sky projector. You can also find a buying guide on starry skies projector or star projector for babies.
